Daniel Motshwane is chairman of the board of the Cosmetic Export Council of South Africa (CECOSA), a non-profit organisation that has a public-private partnership with the department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic). Working with the dtic and South African embassies, CECOSA aims to facilitate export opportunities for the South African cosmetic, toiletry, fragrance and pharmaceutical industry.
Daniel works closely with several farmers involved in the natural ingredients industry: from cultivation to commercialisation, including sourcing of funding for agri-projects.
Daniel is the founder and Managing Director of Afrique Rising Trading (ART), a Pan African business development consultancy that was incorporated in and launched in 2017. ART has partnered with Canada-based Robinson & Kingsley Investment Strategies to drive trade and investment opportunities in developing countries. Afrique Rising Trading has recently signed another partnership agreement with DeutschConnect, a Germany-based company that has created a platform for African Entrepreneurs, especially start-ups, to access the European markets, where they will register their companies for free and be also be provided with capacity building to qualify for those markets.
Daniel has extensive corporate experience, gained from working for corporations such as United Nations Breweries, South African Breweries, Hyundai SA and Sanlam.
Daniel holds a Diploma in Sales & Marketing Management and a Diploma in Export Administration.
