Septi Bukula

Septi M. Bukula is the founder and director of Osiba Holdings and an internationally recognised practitioner in the field of SME promotion, with particular focus on SME policy and ecosystem analysis and advisory. He works extensively with policymakers and a wide range of SME promotion actors across South Africa. He has also previously worked with the governments of Kenya and Rwanda under a World Bank Facility for Investment Climate Advisory Services (FAIS) assignment. In 2017 Bukula founded a national network of tourism SMEs, called Seeza Tourism SME Network, as a vehicle to enable international market access. In 2011 Bukula was appointed by South Africa’s Minister of Trade and Industry to head up a 4-member expert panel established to conduct a national review of government’s small business support, resulting in an authoritative report titled: Rethinking Small Business Support in South Africa. In 2010 he was admitted as an Honorary Fellow and Honorary Life Member of the Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa (IBASA) “in recognition of outstanding service to micro, small and medium enterprises and to the profession of Business Advisers in South Africa.”
